A hidey-hole, a climbing tree, and a polka-dot wall. 4B is perfect! So why did they have to leave? For a spunky girl and her cat Suki, 4B is the perfect home. It's full of quirks, keeps all her secrets, and has the best neighbors. But with her family outgrowing the small apartment, she must say goodbye and find a way to make plain, tattletale 816 feel like home. Through its kid-centered lens, Leaving 4B tackles an evergreen topic by exploring the intricate ways a place feels like home: a fresh coat of paint, a new hidey-hole, and--above all--welcoming in old (and new) friends.
Chambrae Griffith is the author of several children's books, including Barn in Winter: Safe and Warm on the Farm and Barn in Spring: Out to Explore on the Farm. She lives in Utah with her husband, their four teenagers, and a dog named after Pippi Longstocking. Her free days are spent adventuring with family, running on trails, or curled up with a good book. Amelie Videlo is a French-Mauritian illustrator based in the UK. Family and nostalgia from her childhood inspire her the most. She loves making pictures full of rich flora and playful characters with mediums such as gouache, acrylic, crayons, and digital painting.
