This text provides students with a multidisciplinary lens through which to study criminology, integrating concepts from psychology, sociology, biology, law, philosophy, and history. Grounded in Thomas Kuhn's scientific paradigm work, the book divides theory into four significant archetypes: classical, biological, psychological, and sociological criminology-which provides for unparalleled comprehensiveness of criminological theory overall.
Shahid M. Shahidullah has served as a sociology and criminal justice professor at Virginia State University, Elizabeth City State University, and Hampton University.
