This lyrical picture book takes readers on a journey through one full day as told by the ever-changing sky. From the blush of dawn to the burning red of bushfire, the deep calm of onyx night to the shimmering technicolour of the aurora, each page captures a new mood, colour and landscape of our shared world. Through rich imagery and poetic language, the book celebrates the beauty, power and rhythm of nature, and our quiet place within it. Older or more advanced readers will be able to unpack deeper meanings and literary techniques such as personification, simile, metaphor, alliteration and the use of fragments. As the final page closes, we are reminded that while every day ends, the sky will always begin again.

Harry Ebert is a primary teacher, environmental enthusiast and lover of travel.
