Roy Wood lives in Coastal Victoria, and has spent many years working in Aged Care. His experiences in this field, combined with the curiosity and questions of his three young children, inspire his heartfelt storytelling. Roy’s work focuses on themes of family, transitions, and finding comfort in new surroundings, aiming to help children navigate emotional challenges with warmth and understanding. When he’s not writing, Roy enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors, and cooking up delicious meals inspired by his love for food and creativity. Grandma’s New Home is Roy’s debut children’s picture book, blending his personal experiences with a passion for connecting generations through storytelling. Illustrator: Serena enjoyed drawing from an early age. She is keen to share emotions through illustrations, and gains inspiration from the natural environment around her.
