Explore and discover all the beauty and surprises of nature in Grandma’s garden. A magical lift-the-flap book destined to be a treasured read aloud between grandparents and their grandchildren.
Author: Judy Cannon grew up in the Central West region of NSW. After completing her secondary education and teacher training in Sydney, she returned to the country to teach and settle into family life with her husband and four children. Now a grandmother of seven, Judy began writing stories and letters to encourage her grandchildren to read. Upon retiring from teaching, she decided to try her hand at publishing a story. After the success of Who Has the Biggest Mouth?, a second title is now in the works. In Grandma’s Garden captures the sights and sounds of a walk through the garden. Illustrator: Verena Heirich is an artist based in Campbelltown, NSW, with a diverse background in teaching art, including at a local secondary school. Some of her work was recently selected for the finals of the prestigious Fisher’s Ghost Art Award in Campbelltown. Verena illustrated the children’s book Who Has the Biggest Mouth?, showcasing both her flair and expertise. Each illustration was not only eye-catching but also filled with whimsical details that encouraged closer inspection. Building on this success, Verena has been invited to illustrate Judy Cannon’s next book, In Grandma’s Garden. Verena’s family remains her biggest fans, eagerly anticipating the next series of illustrations.
