Set in England  &Australia in the 1800s. Australian historical fiction of early colonial days. Ned Lockley is the second of four sons of the Duke and Duchess of Gracemere. As his mothers favourite, his childhood years were blissful, but he needs to grow up and quickly. A whirlwind romance is followed by a loved ones betrayal. The emotional turmoil that follows is hard for Ned to cope with, especially in the midst of a collapsing, immoral society. Ned cant stay as even his family is falling apart. His mothers words to remain true to himself and his faith make him leave everything he knows. How does Ned end up in New South Wales in charge of placing female convicts? Will he ever find happiness or discover who Charles is?

Sara Powter was born on the NSW Central Coast. Her childhood was spent with her parents, travelling mostly up and down the East Coast of Australia, fishing, shell collecting and doing some of her education by Correspondence Schooling. With a passion for science, she worked for the Department of Agriculture as a Scientific Assistant in the Entomology Department. She married Stephen soon after leaving there, and they spent 30 years in Ministry in the Newcastle Anglican Diocese in NSW, only retiring at the end of 2020.
When Covid 19 hit, time was available for Sara to delve into the stories shed longed to write. Within ten months, seven stories were brought to life, and ideas for more were on the horizon. These narratives are a testament to her deep-rooted love for Colonial Australia, her convict Ancestors, and the rich history of this incredible country, Australia! Sara wrote these as she wished to finish one of her mothers unfinished manuscripts. "Dancing to her Own Tune" is now completed and ties in Sheila Hunters Australian Trilogy with Saras Lockley series. Since her mother’s book was completed, Sara has written more collections and novels.

* Australian Colonai Novels, with a nice outcome.
