Author:
Chelsea Schar-Grant is young author from Adelaide, South Australia. She is currently in year 11 but despite her young age, her literary talents have been recognised by those around her. In 2016, Chelsea won Runner Up in the Young Writer of the Year award. She has since won the Adelaide Plains Poetry Competition and has had her work published in the South Australian English Teachers Anthology (SAETA). Outside of school, Chelsea has an interest in theatre and performance, is a St. John’s Cadet and is studying a Diploma of Emergency Health Care (Paramedical Science). Penny Platypus lends a Hand is her second book.
Illustrator:
Aaron Pocock was born in England in 1970 and has lived in Brisbane since 2000. A lifelong passion, art became his day job in 2007. Aaron has illustrated books, packaging, murals, tattoo designs and (almost) anything else required! A versatile artist, Aaron is comfortable using multiple mediums, working in different sizes and rendering varied subject matter. In 2011, Aaron was chosen to illustrate the Australia Post commemorative stamp set ‘Mythical Creatures’ for Australia’s ‘Children’s Book Week’ which was produced in a 3D capacity (a first for Australia), and coins were minted and spin off items made. Aaron is available for teaching, visits and events
