Tom the Truck Driver has a lot of work to do as he brings the cows and calves to the sale! Learn all about Tom’s truck and the work he does.
Auhtor: Jess is a mother of three living in the beautiful rural Hunter Valley of Australia. With a love for animals and farming, she and her husband run an agriculturalbased trucking company. As a result, her children have grown up with a love for all things related to trucks. “Tom the Truck Driver” is her first book, inspired by hardworking truck drivers and their trucks. She wanted to share this story with all the truck-loving, adventurous kids out there. Illustrator: Always drawing as a child (even when he wasn’t supposed to be), often in the back of his Maths or English books at school, led Glen to art college in the late 1970s. He majored in illustration and animation, earning a Diploma of Art (Visual Communications). This training enabled him to become a freelance illustrator for advertising agencies in the late 80s, and later a children’s book illustrator from his home studio in Brisbane since the early 1990s. With a love for bringing stories to life through his humorous cartoon style, he has produced a range of books over the years, from illustrated picture books to a series of popular joke books, each with a touch of humor.
* Book about trucks and farming. * Excellent representation of farming in Australia. * A good insight into an industry which is under represented in children’s books.
