Excellent book filling a gap in the market 'This is a really well written book; concise yet full of useful information without going into unnecessary details. The compact size means it is easy to take wherever I am working and also easy to quickly find information when needed.' Amazon reviewer A very well written, comprehensive guide for any OOH GP/AHP 'Excellent book, very well written by a GP who works in Primary Care. I firmly believe this will help not only GPs and GP Registrars working in Primary but also Associate Health Practitioners like Physician Associates, Paramedics, etc.' Amazon reviewer Good resource for clinician working in primary care 'Great easy to read text with suggestive management for each condition. Great for clinicians to use as a reference text as part of your clinic. Brilliant layout and pictures with suggestive treatment. Great idea.' Amazon reviewer A must have! This book deals with almost every clinical situation encountered in urgent care centres. It is very concise, comprehensive and very quick to get to the main issue in one place. I myself have been working in A&E and urgent care centres for past 15 years as a clinical lead and medical director (past), I would highly recommend this book to all clinicians who are passionate about diagnosing and managing their patients either in the community, primary care , pharmacy or urgent cares. It is well suited for Junior doctors , Nurses, ENPs, ANPs, ECPs and physician assistants working in primary care, A&E or Urgent care centres.' Amazon reviewer An excellent read 'This is extremely useful and a must have for healthcare professionals. The layout is helpful and its easy to read. A brilliant piece of work.' Its concise, relevant and practical. No superfluous fluff here.' Amazon reviewer Great condensed UCC book! 'This textbook is fantastically condensed to include only the most important aspects of most OOH/UCC/MIU presentations.' Amazon reviewer Great book for OOH 'Great book outlining relevant conditions you will come across in an out of hours setting. Concise and colourful. Has useful images. Good resource!' Amazon reviewer Excellent resource for those working in Urgent Care settings 'This is an excellent, concise book written by a practising GP. Lightweight and fits easily in a medical bag. It covers the vast majority of acute conditions that can commonly present in urgent care and out of hours, providing a good reference guide for assessment, treatment and management of patients, when faced with limited diagnostic options, which is usually the case in Urgent Care and Out of hours settings. Sections include clearly highlighted Red Flag symptoms to watch out for, as well as advice on when to refer to hospital, when to refer more urgently and which departments to refer to. Also a very useful, clear, quick reference guide for palliative care patients, which one can often encounter in out of hours medicine, with useful prescribing options and guidance regarding use of syringe drivers which can be an area of difficulty for those lacking experience. Each Chapter also begins with an inspirational famous quote which is a nice touch from the author. Overall, I would recommend this book as a useful resource for anyone working in primary care particularly GPs, those in GP or medical training, or anyone working in urgent care settings, looking for a quick reference guide to aid them whilst managing patients on the front line.' Amazon reviewer Excellent, must have handbook 'I am throughly impressed by this hand book. The content of the book is comprehensive, up to date & to the point. Genuinely very helpful & quick reference tool.' Amazon reviewer Excellent resource for primary (and secondary) care doctors. 'Excellent resource for tackling common clinical presentations in primary care - useful for out of hours but also day to day clinical work. Especially useful for trainee GPs such as myself, but equally useful to fall back on for experienced GPs in busy clinics. Definitely recommend.' Amazon reviewer THE BEST handbook for new UCPs/ACPs 'Having spent hundreds of pounds on books recently to support my move into face to face, Out of Hours care as an Urgent Care Practitioner (I'm a trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner). I found most books missed the mark and didn't give me the concise or relevant information I needed. This is not a detailed or in depth learning book, so make sure you have your basic consultation and assessment skills. However, it acts as a fantastic, small, handy, quick reference guide. Firstly, I identify the probable diagnosis, find the relevant chapter and then I check the presentation detail matches the symptoms of the patient. Then I follow the management plan. It even gives medication ideas, even though you need to follow your local policy. It also points out red flag symptoms and highlights when a patient ought to be referred to another service. An EXTREMELY helpful book, that fills a large gap in the market. Well done Dr Bupal, you've given me immense confidence in my new role and I'm very thankful for your publication. Thank you.'
