Through a carefully curated selection of readings, Leadership and Sport Management explores the intersection of leadership principles and sport governance. The anthology provides readers with an overview of various domains integral to the administration of sports institutions and the welfare of the athletes they serve. It brings to the forefront issues such as governance, ethical leadership, race, and gender equity in sports. Structured into thematic units, the anthology explores sports governance, leadership, and leadership theories; sport ethics; and sports governance issues. The final unit provides readers with sports leadership and governance modules, which highlight contemporary real-world topics such as intercollegiate athletics, the lack of female leadership in NCAA athletics, race in sports, and bullying and hazing in team sports. Leadership and Sport Management is an ideal resource for courses and programs in sports management, athletic administration, and sport ethics.
