INXS fans are the central focus of this official publication Calling All Nations: A Fan History of INXS. Named after the INXS song, with over 400 pages of fan accounts, memorabilia, artifacts, photographs, magazine and newspaper clippings. Artfully arranged, the popping graphics of the book revolve around INXS’ signature black, white and red.

Calling All Nations follows the journey of 6 Australian school boys who wanted to be in a band. Brothers Andrew, Jon and Tim Farriss and school friends Michael Hutchence, Kirk Pengilly and Garry Gary Beers and in 1977 they made it happen.

Over the next 4 decades, they became one of the world’s greatest bands winning countless awards, and playing thousands of shows to millions of fans. On July 13, 1991, they delivered the show of their lives at Wembley, Stadium with a career-defining gig.

“Calling All Nations – A Fan History of INXS” is a visual and written history of the band curated from generous contributions of 100s of their fans, as well as memories and archive material from the band themselves including handwritten diary pages from INXS saxophonist Kirk Pengilly.

The bands most successful studio album, Kick (1987) peaked at number three on the Billboard 200. The album also spawned four US top 10 singles, "New Sensation", "Never Tear Us Apart", "Devil Inside" and "Need You Tonight", the last of which reached the top of the US Billboard singles charts. INXS has sold over 50 million albums worldwide, making them one of Australias highest-selling music acts of all time.

“It’s a really interesting way of looking at (the journey) through the fan’s eyes. As a concept, it’s really clever.” Jon Farriss.

“What was really significant from a writing perspective, is when you start hearing that people got married or buried, or lost their virginity, to the music. The births, deaths and marriages part of it is kind of sobering as you go along.” Andrew Farriss
